Limited Edition Diary of Pte Chris Burtenshaw.
A harrowing and sometime brutal diary of one soldiers fight on the front line in Afghanistan.
My role in this was to artwork the 192 page diary, source the print and foam infill for the metal boxes. The metal boxes for all 1,000 diaries were handmade in a small workshop in Afghanistan. For insurance reasons, I was not allowed at the time to visit the factory to photograph the manufacture for a Social Media Campaign.
Print buying on this project involved sourcing a printer that would print the red text as a spot colour with the blood of the soldiers and families mixed with the ink.
Final diary was presented and auctioned at the 353 Annual Charity Ball.
